Studies have found that 39% of women said they always orgasm when they masturbate, compared to 6% during partnered sex

The Commute

Transit ads in high-traffic public spaces like New York City subway cars, where a captive audience gives a provocative headline time to land.

The Card Game

A deck of prompts that helps partners talk about what they enjoy, set boundaries, and discover new ways to connect. It turns a hard conversation into a game.

The Internet

A social account that shows how the gap appears in everyday life and shares tips, resources, and facts that help followers do their part in closing it.

The Big Oh

A social campaign to spread awareness of the orgasm gap

The Big Oh is a social awareness campaign about the orgasm gap, the disparity in how often women orgasm compared to their partners. It helps people understand where the gap comes from and what they can do to close it. The campaign uses education, empathy, and humor to break down the taboos around female pleasure.

The Challenge

There is a significant disparity in orgasms between couples, otherwise known as the orgasm gap.

To close the gap, I first needed to understand why it exists. Research pointed to a clear root cause: a lack of education and open conversation about women’s anatomy and pleasure. That defined the audience, people of the age of consent who have sex with women. It also defined the goal: give them the knowledge and the language to create change in their own relationships.

The Solution

I used design to make an uncomfortable topic approachable. Bold reds and direct, cheeky headlines make people laugh first and think second. The campaign meets its audience in three places:

This topic stood out to me because cultural taboos and silence around female pleasure keep misinformation and shame alive.
